T-boards Europe is attempting a Guinness World Record attempt on 17th September. It will be held on an airstrip in Somerset, Guinness World Record, Police (with speed cameras and safety car) and Paramedics will all be there. We will be attempting to break the land speed record for an Extreme Sport, called T-Board, which is currently 70 mph.
What is a T-Board you might ask? The best way to describe it would be an inline Skateboard, with only 2 wheels, 1 at the front of the board and 1 at the back.
The current world record was achieved in America, where T-Boarding is HUGE mainly popular with Skateboarders, Snowboarders and Surfers.
How is a T-Board different to a Skateboard? A T-Board works like a Snowboard, the rider must use their whole body to turn the board just like snowboarding, whereas a Skateboard the rider just uses his ankles.
At present T-Boards are almost UNHEARD of in the UK but based on their sell out popularity in America and the added bonus of the American SNOWBOARD team using them for practicing when not on the slopes, T-Boards are the must have necessity.
