DEW ACTION SPORTS TOUR ARRIVES IN DENVER

FOR SECOND TOUR STOP, JULY 13-16,

AT PEPSI CENTERDew Action Sports Tour Denver

Shaun White, Dave Mirra, Travis Pastrana Expected to Compete

July 10, 2005 - New York, N.Y - The Dew Action Sports Tour, the only multi-sport, season-long tour in action sports, makes the second stop of its second season with the Right Guard Open, July 13-16, at Denver’s Pepsi Center. The five-city tour opened in Louisville last month and also includes stops in Portland, San Jose and Orlando.

Skateboarder Shaun White, BMX athlete Dave Mirra, and FMX competitor Travis Pastrana are among the athletes who will return to Denver to compete for the Dew Cup, awarded at season’s end to the athlete with the highest number of points in each of the six disciplines within skateboarding, BMX, and freestyle motocross. The Tour’s inaugural season champions include Kenny Bartram (Freestyle Motocross), Jamie Bestwick (BMX Vert), Ryan Guettler (BMX Park and BMX Dirt), Bucky Lasek (Skateboard Vert) and Ryan Sheckler (Skateboard Park). Each Dew Cup winner received their portion of a $1 million year-end bonus and returns for the 2006 season.

The Right Guard Open will feature 260 professional action sports athletes which includes 110 top-name pros who have pre-qualified, plus surf0 athletes who have signed up for the open qualifier competitions. Due to depth of this year’s athlete talent, the Tour increased the finals field in all disciplines, allowing 12 athletes instead of 10 to advance to the finals. The Tour also increased the size of the FMX, BMX Park, BMX Dirt and Skateboard Park courses so athletes can perform bigger and better tricks.

Last month in Louisville, Ky., the first stop of the Tour, the Panasonic Open, saw intense competition:

· Sheckler, 16, of San Clemente, Calif., turned back wunderkind Nyjah Huston, 11, of Davis, Calif., in Skateboard Park. Sheckler had an average score of 92.67. Huston averaged 88.33. Sheckler was the 2005 Skateboard Park overall champion on the Dew Tour.

· In Skateboard Vert, Bob Burnquist, 29, of Brazil, claimed his first Dew Tour victory with a score of 92.00 on his first run. Burnquist finished the 2005 season in fourth place overall. Placing second was Lasek, 33, of Baltimore, Md., last season’s Dew Action Sports Tour Skateboard Vert champion.

· Scotty Cranmer, 19, of Jackson, N.J., won the BMX Park competition, edging out the 2005 Dew Action Sports Tour BMX Park champion Guettler of Australia. It was the second consecutive tour win for Cranmer, who won the PlayStation® Pro in Orlando last October.

· Anthony Napolitan, 20, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Luke Parslow, 21, of Australia tied for first in the BMX Dirt final with best scores of 94.5 on their second runs. Napolitan won the tie-breaker with an 88.75 first run to Parslow’s 80.75. Defending Dew Tour BMX Dirt champion Guettler failed to qualify for the finals.

· Simon Tabron, 32, of Great Britain, successfully completed an alley oop no-handed 540 to edge 2005 BMX Vert season champion Bestwick, 34, also of Great Britain, who came back after recent neck surgery to place second with a score of 93.50.

· Nate Adams, 22, of Glendale, Ariz., used a score of 93.00 on his second run to take the Freestyle Motocross title. Pastrana, 22, of Davidsonville, Md., finished second at 92.23. Bartram, 27, of Stillwater, Okla., the 2005 Dew Tour Freestyle Motocross overall champion, finished fifth.
