2007 Florida Bowlriders Cup Skate Video

Florida Bowlriders CupIt’s the final weekend of the 2007 Florida Bowlriders Cup. Treaty Skatepark in St. Augustine on Saturday and the Kona Skatepark Pool on Sunday.

In the Points series, Benji Galloway is holding down first position in the Pro’s with Daytona’s Jordan Price hanging on to his lead in the open ams. It’s anybody’s championship in both divisions.

Georgia’s Tim Johnson will be stepping into very familiar territory at Treaty Park and will be hard to beat even with the likes of Mike Peterson coming to make his mark. Treaty Park is Team Pains first FL skatepark and a great stop for the series due to its unique layout. It’s a perfect blend of street with tranny and only those with great all around skills will do well.

The Kona Pool is another unique Team Pain creation. They built the new pool right inside the old one. But you would never know by riding it. Ten feet deep with a foot and a half of vert, this bowl is nothing to play around with. It’s just big enough to blast huge airs but friendly enough to pull off the pads and rip up the lip.

The last event this in pool saw Buck Smith winning the Masters and almost taking home the open division as well. The top placing Masters and Open Pro riders that are not already invited to the Pro-Tec Pool party in California will win all expense paid trips to compete in this year’s event.

Some added motivation for the unknown soldiers showing up to rip. An awards ceremony recognizing this years points series champions will take place following the pool event at Kona.
