The 2001 World Slalom Skateboarding Championships Final Results presented by Sector 9 and Etnies

Fat City Racing's Gary Cross came up with a huge win and kept the Championship in the USA.

Living legends Henry Hester, John Hutson, Cliff Coleman, Chris Yandall and Beau
Brown inspired many of the "new" guys.

Biker Sherlock, Eli Smouse, Darryl Freeman and
Chris Chaput represented the current speedboarders turned coneheads.

Many wild matchups during qualifying.
How about Don Bostick and Biker. Arab and Coleman. Chaput and Gilmour. Freestylers Richie Carrasco and Stevie Monahan.

How about Dunn upsetting the #2 seed,
Chris Hart and then Gilmour.

So many awesome moments that be can't put into words just yet. Microseconds and cones deciding marquee matchups. Great vibe with the City of Morro Bay, the Mayor, the cops and the skaters.

There are so many people to thank, I'll surely
forget some but here are some heavy hitters:
Jack Smith,
Webmaster Adam,
Sector 9,
Etnies,
Henry Hester,
Paul Dunn,
John Hutson,
Beau Brown (Etnies),
Rene Bruce
(Longskate.com),
Steve M,
Dan Gesmer,
Hunter Joslin,
Hugh R,
and many, many more

. It was great meeting Dieter and CMC the Sidlo's, Fat City, Dennis Teffler (Sector 9).

Pizza and beer right after the race, great Mexican food the night before.

This was the spirit of competition at it's finest. Thank you everyone for making Morro an
instant classic!
