VZ HINANO TRIALS ON HOLD IN TAHITI

The three wildcard surfers for the Billabong Pro will not be decided until Monday (Tahitian time - Tuesday Australian time) due to inconsistent surfing conditions at Teahupoo in Tahiti placing the VZ Hinano Trials on hold for the next two days

A solid new swell is predicted to arrive within 48 hours at the infamous reef-break for the completition of the trials.   Organizers are even hopeful that they will  be able to commence the World Championship Tour (WCT) event on May 8th, the start of the 11 day waiting period.

Surfers still in contention for one of the three wildcards include Kieren Perrow (Byron Bay, Aus), Bruce Irons (Haw), Manoa Drollet (Tahiti), Pancho Sullivan (Haw), Dylan Longbottom (Kiama) and Dave Cantrell (Haw).

The worlds top 45 men and top surf women will compete in the main event, the second stop on this years other Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) world tour.
